1. Types of Information We Collect and How We Collect It

In order to better provide you with our Services, we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us. Personal information (“PII”) is any information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you and includes, but is not limited to, your first and last name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, Social Security Number, date of birth, and credit card payment information. The PII that we collect depends on the choices you make with regard to the Services and the features you use on the Site. You may be required to provide certain PII to us when you elect to purchase and/or use certain Services or features on the Site. These may include: (a) registering for an account with us; (b) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing Services; or (c) providing information, including location-based information, in connection with the installation and/or use of the Services.
We also collect device and other information when you use our Services. Such information may include passwords and security data, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access, as well device identifiers (such as Electronic Serial Numbers and mobile equipment identifiers which are static numbers linked to a device) and device data (such as application use, battery life, and data collected by the device).

We also collect location-based information when you use our Services that rely upon real-time geographical location information provided by a device to provide a solution service to you. Location based information may include your physical address. We also may manually collect specific geolocation (including latitude and longitude coordinates) of the device’s location as well as contextual and physical information about the subject being monitored by the device. We may share location information with a provider of an Application that is integral to a particular solution Service (“solution provider”) or other Third Parties providing services to the solution provider or us in connection with the particular solution Service. Those Third Parties’ privacy policies will govern the use of that location information. You should understand the risks involved in consenting to the disclosure of a device’s location information before applying for and purchasing a solution Service from us that collects and uses your location information.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Site, such as IP address and/or browser and device information. We may also collect cookies, web beacons and similar technology. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information). We also acquire information about you from credit agencies, financial institutions and other Third Party sources. These entities may collect information from varying sources. The information we collect may include but is not limited to credit reports and references.
IoT-A generally does not request, obtain or use Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), which is information that telecommunications services such as local, long distance, and wireless telephone companies acquire about their subscribers. If IoT-A were to collect or otherwise obtain CPNI in a particular situation, IoT-A would use that information only with the customer’s permission to the extent required by law.

2. How We Use Information

We use your PII and other information that we collect or receive to request credit reports and measure your credit-worthiness and payment risk; establish and maintain your account; bill and collect for Services; address account or Product issues; enhance the operation of our Site and the Services; statistically analyze Site and Product use for usage trends; and improve our Services and Product offerings.
We use collected information to protect our systems from fraudulent, abusive or unlawful practices, authenticate individuals, and monitor sales transactions for potential fraud. We may access or disclose your information to respond to legal investigations, protect and defend our legal rights, and comply with the law or legal processes such as court orders and subpoenas.

We also may use your information to personalize marketing, promotional and administrative communications, including product, service and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies. We may use your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges. We and/or our Third Party marketing partners may use the personal information you send to us for our marketing purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time. We may use your location to identify and authenticate you for purchases or access to our Site or the Services. We may also use your device location related to a solution application to provide location-based services.

Aggregated or Anonymized Information. Aggregated or anonymized information has been changed in a manner that prevents others from identifying you. We may use aggregated or anonymized information to manage, protect and improve our Services; to analyze and perform market research and develop and modify insights; to generate reports for our customers and other third parties; to develop marketing recommendations and identify opportunities for enhanced and future solutions to serve our customer base; and for any other lawful purpose.

3. When We Share Your Information

We will not disclose your information outside of IoT-A and Third Parties other than as described in this Privacy Policy unless we have your express or implied consent.

We may share your information without your consent with Third Parties that perform services on our behalf, such as billing and collecting for our Services; fulfilling orders; installing equipment; hosting services; and promoting and marketing our Services. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for Services you purchased from us and we must release your address information to the delivery service to deliver equipment that you ordered. Unless you consent to broader usage, Third Parties that receive your information must use the information exclusively for the purposes that have been contractually agreed upon with IoT-A.

We also may share certain information for purposes permitted by law without your consent such as to prevent or take action regarding fraud or potential violations of our policies; comply with legal requirements; address situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person; enforce our agreements, including this Privacy Policy; protect our rights and property; as evidence in litigation in which we are involved; or in connection with any potential or actual financing, merger, or sale of all or a portion of IoT-A’s assets or membership interests.

We may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information to the appropriate governmental authorities. In such cases, we will disclose information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our Services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.

As mentioned in the Cookie Policy below, IoT-A may allow Third Parties to place Cookie Technology on your device when you access our Site or use our solution applications. Third Parties may use the collected information to personalize advertising that may be of interest to you when you are on other websites or to improve their applications. Use of your information by the Third Parties is governed by the respective privacy policies of those providers and is not subject to our control. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of Third Parties.

We may use your location information when you use our devices related to solution applications that require location-based information to provide their services. These location-based solution applications rely upon real-time physical, geographical location information provided by a device to provide a Service to you.

4. Cookie Policy

IoT-A uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other tracking technology (collectively “Cookie Technology”) to deliver, monitor and improve our Site and deliver the Services through the solution applications. This Cookie Policy describes the information we collect through Cookie Technology, how we use it and how you can manage them. This Cookie Policy applies to IoT-A’s Site and solution applications (together, “Cookie-Related Services”). By continuing to access or use our Cookie-Related Services, you agree to our use of Cookie Technology. IoT-A uses Cookie Technology on our Cookie-Related Services and any device interacting with those Cookie-Related Services may receive it. IoT-A also works with Third Parties that place Cookie Technology in your browser when you use their solution applications and related devices.

A cookie is a small data text file which is stored on your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Cookies may also include more personalized information, such as your IP address, browser type, the server your computer or device is logged onto, the area code and zip code associated with your server, and your first name to welcome you back to our Site. We may use cookies to perform tasks such as: monitoring aggregate site usage metrics, storing and remembering your passwords to secure your access, storing account preferences that you have set, personalizing the Services we make available to you, and detecting and defending against fraud and other risks. Web beacons are small graphic images on a web page or an HTML email that works with cookies to monitor web usage, link web pages to servers, interact with emails, and personalize advertising. We do not use cookies to track your browsing behaviors.

IoT-A is not responsible for the practices including the use of Cookie Technology, employed by Third Parties, whether on their websites or in the solution applications. You should review the Third Party’s privacy policies and practices, including their use of Cookie Technology, to decide for yourself whether they are acceptable to you. You may disable IoT-A and Third Party Cookie Technology on your computer and devices, including the devices related to the solution applications; however, it may limit your experience on our Site and may cause the solution application not to function properly.
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Please consult your browser settings or contact the browser provider to manage your cookies. Our Site and Services do not respond to browser’s default Do Not Track signals.

5. Protecting Your Information

We take reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of your information. We use a variety of commercially reasonable and appropriate safeguards to protect information residing on IoT-A’s systems. We also employ a number of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect PII. We also keep collected PII only for as long as reasonably necessary for business purposes and use it only for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with any applicable legal or document retention requirements.

We restrict access to PII to specific employees, contractors, and agents who have a reasonable need for that information. For example, we may provide members of our technical support team with limited access to your account in order to allow them to troubleshoot problems you may be having with the Site or the solution applications. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
Finally, access by you to your PII is available through a password selected by you. This password is encrypted. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.

We cannot prevent every unauthorized attempt to access information. Data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network always poses some risk and cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks regarding data transmission of your PII over the Internet or wireless network, these risks are beyond our control and that you understand that your PII cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. 7. California Privacy Rights

A business subject to California Code § 1798.83 is required to disclose to its customers, upon customer request, the identity of any other party to whom the business has disclosed “personal information”
regarding that customer within the immediately preceding calendar year. A business is only required to respond to a customer request once during the course of a calendar year.

8. No Collection of Information from Minors

You must be at least 18 years old to have our permission to use this Site. Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose PII about minor visitors. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. If we learn that personal information from users younger than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
